Batch Change the File Name of Images

In the main window, select multiple images of which the file names are to be changed.

Select the [Tools] menu → [Start Rename tool].

The rename window appears.

Specify the required settings and click the [Execute] button.

Processing begins and the file names are changed.

Rename window
[File name] | Sets the new file name. |
[Extension] | |
[Basic Settings] | [Sort]: Order in which images are sorted |
[Same file name for RAW+JPEG images]: Check mark to apply the same name to RAW images and JPEG images recorded simultaneously. |

[Copy and Rename]: Check mark to copy the images. Click the [Browse] button and set the save destination. |

[Format settings] | Sets the format of information in the file name. |
[Original File Name] | The original file names are displayed. |
[Modified File Name] | The modified file names are displayed. |
[Execute] | Modifies the file names. |
[Cancel] | Cancels all settings and closes the window. |
If a file name in red text has appeared in [Modified File Name], the file name has been duplicated. Changes cannot be made if even one file name has been duplicated. Change the settings so that duplication does not occur.
Changing the File Name of Images in the Order in the Main Window
When you change the order of the images in the main window (Arranging Freely), you can change in one operation the names of the files for the images, in the order they were rearranged.

Change the order of the images in the main window.
In the main window, select multiple images of which the file names are to be changed.
Select the [Tools] menu → [Start Rename tool].
Select [Fit to main window].

Specify the required settings.

To copy an image, checkmark [Copy and Rename].

Click the [Execute] button.

The file names are changed and the order in the main window is maintained.
