Sets or retrieves the data type of the value attribute.
Syntax
HTML <PARAM VALUETYPE = p... > Scripting PARAM.valueType(v) [ = p ]
Possible Values
p String that specifies or receives the type of data specified in the value attribute of the param element.
data Default. The value specified by the value attribute will be evaluated and passed to the applet, embed, or object element as a string. ref The value specified by the value attribute is a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that designates a resource where run-time values are stored. This allows support tools to identify URIs given as parameters. object The value specified by the value attribute is an identifier (ID) that refers to an object declaration in the same document. The ID must be the value of the id attribute set for the declared object element. The property is read/write. The property has a default value of data.
Example
The following example shows how to use the param element to specify a run-time parameter for the object specified by the object element. A URI is specified for the Microsoft Windows Media® Player control.
