Selecting Speaker or Headphone Output

You can enable audio output through your player's built-in speakers or through headphones.

Enabling audio output through speakers

Move and hold the Speaker/Lock switch towards the speaker icon on your player until the speaker icon appears on your screen.

Enabling audio output through headphones

Move and hold the Speaker/Lock switch towards the speaker icon on your player until the speaker icon disappears from your player's screen.

Notes

Audio output cannot be enabled through speakers and headphones at the same time. Enabling one channel disables the other automatically.

When headphones are used, the volume level is automatically set to 10 or the Volume Restriction level, whichever is lower.

To conserve battery power, disable audio output through your speakers when they are not in use.
