SurfaceReader is able to run under Mac OSX 10.6, Snow Leopard, and later. No additional software is required to set up virtual MIDI cables, as this capability is already built-in on the Mac operating system. The virtual cables can be set up using the Audio/MIDI Setup app located in the /applications/utilities folder, though this will require sighted assistance as the required panel is inaccessible using VoiceOver.
