Upgrading the Failover Server

It is critical that the Failover Server runs the same version as its monitored IPFX Servers.

When an upgrade is planned for the monitored IPFX Server(s):

  1. Shut down the Failover Server.
  2. Upgrade the Failover Server and all its monitored IPFX Servers at the same time.
  3. When the upgrade is complete, bring up the IPFX Servers first, then restart the Failover Server.
  4. The newly-upgraded IPFX Servers will need to be replicated manually.
