You can also create a new practice profile and set it to default.

There can be only one default practice in the system.

Privileges:

Only administrators of the system can assign privileges to other users.

Administrators cannot assign privileges to other administrators of the system.

Click Administration> Authorizations> Privileges.

Administrators can also create Authorization templates and assign them to staff members when they are being registered.

e.g. Create a list of templates for a Principle Doctor, Locum Doctor, Senior Receptionist, Junior receptionist, Nurse, Accountant etc.

Creating a template for various staff members is a good practice.

This saves time when entering new staff into the system.

Doctors can issue pathology and radiology requests for patients.

When new users log in for the first time they will be prompted to change their password and staffkey.

The staff key is required for creating a bill or making a payment.  There are other times when a staffkey is required as well.

If the user is prompted for a staff key then this must be entered for the process to be completed.

A user can re-set their password and staffkey at any time.

Administrators can change the password and staff key of all users.

The staff key prompt can be switched off by an administrator in the system preferences.
