Changing Remote Printer Settings
You can change most printer connection information without disconnecting and reconnecting. You can change a remote printer using either LPR or Windows Printers Settings.
To change a remote printer using LPR:
- Select the window for the appropriate remote printer.
- On the Printer menu, click Edit Remote Printer Properties. The Edit Remote Printer Properties dialog box opens.
- Make the necessary changes.
To change remote printer settings:
Windows 98/Me
- On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings and click Printers.
- Select the appropriate local printer.
- On the File menu, click Properties. The Properties dialog box opens.
- On the Details tab, select the HCL LPR Port you want to change.
- Click Port Settings. The Configure LPR Port and Remote Printer dialog box opens.
- Make the necessary changes and click OK.
Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003
- On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings and click Printers.
- Select the appropriate local printer.
- On the File menu, click Properties. The printer’s Properties dialog box opens.
- On the Ports tab, select the HCL LPR Port you want to change.
- Click Configure Port. The Configure LPR Port and Remote Printer dialog box opens.
- Make the necessary changes and click OK.
