PurchaseReservedInstancesOffering

The PurchaseReservedInstancesOffering operation purchases a Reserved Instance for use with your account. With Amazon EC2 Reserved Instances, you purchase the right to launch Amazon EC2 instances for a period of time (without getting insufficient capacity errors) and pay a lower usage rate for the actual time used. For more information about Reserved Instances, see Reserving Amazon EC2 Instances for Long-Term Use.

Amazon EC2 Reserved Instances are based on instance type and location (region and Availability Zone) for a specified period of time. Before purchasing a Reserved Instance, make sure it meets your requirements.

Request Parameters

The following table describes the request parameters for PurchaseReservedInstancesOffering. Parameter names are case sensitive.

The offering ID of the Reserved Instance to purchase.

Valid Values: Valid offering IDs.

The number of Reserved Instances to purchase.

Constraints: Any valid positive integer
