ec2-reset-instance-attribute

Description

Resets an attribute of an instance to its default value.

Syntax

ec2-reset-instance-attribute instance_id { --kernel kernel_id | --ramdisk ramdisk_id }

ID of the instance on which the attribute will be reset.

Resets the ID of the kernel.

Type: String

Example: --kernel

--ramdisk

Resets the ID of the RAM disk.

Example: --ramdisk

Output

The command returns a table that contains the following information:

  • Attribute type identifier

  • ID of the instance on which the attribute is being reset

  • Action identifier ("RESET")

Amazon EC2 displays errors on stderr.
