niHWS Open File

Opens or creates an HWS waveform file. The file must be closed with the niHWS Close File VI.

niHWS Open File.vi

cpath file path specifies the path and file name of the HWS file to create or open. The .hws extension is typically used for HWS files, although using this extension is optional.
cenum permissions specifies file access options.

Read OnlyOpens an existing file for reading. An error is returned if the file specified does not exist. An error is returned if an attempt is made to write to the file.
Read/Write ExistingOpens an existing file for both reading and writing. An error is returned if the file specified does not exist.
Read/Write Create NewCreates a new file for both reading and writing. An error is returned if the file specified already exists.
Read/Write Create New AlwaysCreates a new file for both reading and writing. If the file specified already exists its contents are lost.
ccclst error in (no error) can accept error information wired from VIs previously called. Use this information to decide if any functionality should be bypassed in the event of errors from other VIs.
