Change which cell becomes active when you press ENTER

  1. In the design window, make sure the spreadsheet is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
  2. On the toolbar, click Commands and Options Button image, and then click the Advanced tab.
  3. To move the active cell selection or to prevent the active cell selection from moving after you press ENTER, select or clear the Move after return check box.

If you want to specify the direction in which the active cell selection should move after you press ENTER, click the arrow next to the Move direction box and then click Down, Left, Right, or Up.

Note  The cell selection does not move when the boundaries of the spreadsheet are reached. For example, when the cell selection is set to move down and you press ENTER in a cell in the bottom row, the selection does not move.
