IP Reset Disk
The IP Reset Disk resets the IP network settings of the PXI controller or remote desktop PC to the factory defaults, 0.0.0.0. You also can use this disk to clear the password and unlock the remote system if the system is locked with a password.
Note You must use Windows XP/2000 computers to create this disk utility. If your system uses Windows Vista, you must create a Desktop PC Utility USB Drive instead. |
Complete the following steps to create an IP Reset Disk from your host PC or PXI system:

- Place a floppy disk in the drive of the host PC. Any data on the floppy disk will be overwritten.
- Launch MAX by selecting All Programs»National Instruments»Measurement & Automation Explorer from the Windows Start menu on the host PC.
- Select Tools»RT Disk Utilities»Create IP Reset Disk.
- The IP Reset Disk dialog box appears. Click Yes to make the boot disk. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.
- Select the version of the disk utilities you want to use.
- After the system finishes creating the boot disk, remove the floppy disk and label it LabVIEW RT IP Reset Disk.

- Place the IP Reset Disk in the RT target's floppy drive.
- Power on or reset the controller to reset the IP settings and password.
