Recording with the Built-in Microphone

  1. Press and hold the Menu/Back button to access the main menu.
  • Select Microphone.
  • Press and hold the Play/Pause button to start the recording.
  • While recording, you can press the Options button and select one of the following options:
    • Pause
      Pauses the recording. You can also pause the recording by pressing the Play/Pause button.
  • Stop
    Stops and saves the recording.
  • Split
    Ends and saves current recording session, and begins a new one.

    • The recorded track is named MIC followed by the date and time of the recording (MIC YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS). For example, if you record a track on March 15, 2004 at 2:57 pm, the track is named MIC 2004-03-15 14:57:00.

  • To preview your new recording, press the Play/Pause button. To delete it, select Delete Recording.
    • Tips
    • For a better quality recording, make sure you place your player as close as possible to the source.
