To add a tooltip to a command

1. Click Tools tab Customization panel User Interface . At the command prompt, enter cui.
2. In the Customize User Interface Editor, click the Customize tab.
3. In the Command List pane, click the command to which you want to add a Help message.

   

4. In the Properties pane, Description field, enter the tooltip text for the selected command.

   

5. Click the Apply button.

   The next time the cursor hovers over the command on a toolbar, ribbon panel, or menu browser, the text is displayed in the tooltip.
