The xp_cmdshell extended stored procedure executes a command string as an operating-system command shell and returns any output as rows of text. Use the xp_cmdshell dialog in Surface Area Configuration to configure xp_cmdshell support.
Options
- Enable xp_cmdshell

If checked, the xp_cmdshell extended stored procedure is enabled. If unchecked, the xp_cmdshell extended stored procedure cannot be used.
