Prepare Grammar converts grammar files with the ".cfg" file extension to grammar files with the ".cfgpp" extension (prepared grammar file).
Input File Format
The input file for Prepare Grammar is a binary grammar file with the ".cfg" extension, as produced by the Compile Grammar tool. You must use both the Compile Grammar and Prepare Grammar operations to produce a file with the ".cfgpp" extension from an XML-format grammar file. It is an accepted convention to use the ".grxml" file extension for XML-based grammar documents that conform to the SRGS specification.
Output File Format
The output of the Prepare Grammar is a binary file with the ".cfgpp" extension. Files with the ".cfgpp" extension contain information that optimizes them for use with a specific instance of a speech recognition engine.
