nodeName Property


Retrieves the name of a particular type of node.

Syntax

HTML N/A
Scripting[ sName = ] object.nodeName

Possible Values

sName String that specifies one of the following values:
tagNameName of the element, also available through the tagName property.
attrNameName of the attribute, where the node is an Attribute object.
#textNode is a TextNode object.

The property is read-only with no default value.

Example

This example uses the nodeName property to obtain the name of an element.
