The KL3142 and KL3152 analog input terminals handle signals in the range between 0 and 20 mA, and between 4 and 20 mA respectively. The current is digitized to a resolution of 16 bits (the default is 15 bits), and is transmitted, in an electrically isolated form, to the higher-level automation device. The input channels of the Bus Terminals have differential inputs and a common, internal ground potential. With their high measurement accuracy of ±0.01 % of the full-scale value, these terminals are optimized for high-precision control processes, such as dosing, filling, or quality assurance. The Bus Terminals combine 2 channels within a housing. Open lead or overload condition are detected, and the terminal status is relayed to the controller via the K-bus. State and Error LEDs display the state of the terminal.
