GPC Backup

Backing up!!

gpc.fdb is the GPComplete database file.

gpc.fdb will reside in the folder C:\gpcdata unless determined otherwise during the installation process.

DB

this is the path to the database. e.g. C:\gpcdata\gpc.fdb

to set the path, click on change and browse to that folder.

This path must be on the local machine. Network paths are not valid.

Prefix

This can be any name to help identify the backup file.

e.g MyPractice.

This will append the name in front of the file. eg. MyPractice12102007.zip  

12102007 represents the format ddmmyyyy

Dest

This is the destination folder where the backup will be copied.

Click change to browse to this folder.

Select Daily, Weekly or Monthly.

Time

This sets the time of the backup process. Preferably set this time when it is unlikely that the system is being used. e.g. late in the evening or in the early hours of the morning.

Account info

Account name is the Windows username of the machine.

Password is the Windows password for the machine.

FB Service

This should be autopopulated in most instances. If it is not then please contact us.

There might be another instance of firebird installed on this machine.
