Adding an Inventory

The software has the ability to store inventory items for a practice. You can add your own inventory items. To add an inventory item select items from the main menu and then add inventory from the inventory sub menu.
The form to add a new inventory will be displayed to you.
Mandatory Fields in Inventory
Inventory code will always start with 'INV'. Once you have entered an inventory code, you cannot change it. You cannot have two inventory with the same codes.
This is the cost of the inventory per unit. If you enter the cost per unit and any one of mark up rate, mark up percentage or retail price, the remaining two fields are automatically calculated by the software.
The price at which the practice sells the inventory.
The quantity threshold of inventory below which an inventory should be reordered. Whenever an inventory falls below the reorder quantity, an urgent message is sent to all the administrators of the system.
This is the quantity by which the quantity on hand (QOH) of the inventory will be increased or decreased. For a new inventory, this value has to be positive. While updating an inventory, this value can be positive or negative.
The quantity by which the inventory should be reordered.
Other Fields in Inventory
You cannot edit this field. QOH is updated automatically when inventory is used up or you can also manually increase or decrease the QOH by updating the inventory record with a value in the 'Increase Quantity by' field.
