Select cells or chart items by using shortcut keys

Select cells, columns, or rows in datasheets by using shortcut keys

Press To
CTRL+SPACEBAR Select the entire column
SHIFT+SPACEBAR Select the entire row
CTRL+A Select the entire datasheet
F8 Turn extend mode on or off
SHIFT+ arrow key Extend the selection by one cell
CTRL+SHIFT+ arrow key Extend the selection to the last nonblank cell in the same column or row of the active cell
SHIFT+HOME Extend the selection to the beginning of the row
CTRL+SHIFT+HOME Extend the selection to the upper left corner cell of the datasheet
CTRL+SHIFT+END Extend the selection to the last cell used in the datasheet (lower-right corner)
SHIFT+PAGE DOWN Extend the selection down one screen
SHIFT+PAGE UP Extend the selection up one screen
SHIFT+BACKSPACE If multiple cells are selected, select only the active cell
