Account Permissions Field List

 

Select the ID of the user for which you want to add account permissions.

If you have already added the User ID to G/L Security, you can browse through the list of User IDs using the Previous and Next buttons or you can click the Finder button and choose a User ID.

If you have not added the User ID for which you want to set permissions, click the Zoom button as shown below to display all Sage ERP Accpac User IDs, and then select the User ID from the Finder that appears.

Segment tab

The Segment tab lets you allow or deny user access to ranges of account segment codes -- for example, to restrict access to a particular department.

Double-click or use the spacebar to change this field from No to Yes.

Generally, if your Default Security Access setting provides access to All Accounts, you would set choose No in the Allow column to restrict account access.

If your Default Security Access setting provides access to No Accounts, you would usually choose Yes in the Allow column to open access to a range of accounts.

Choose the account segment for which you want to specify a range of codes. You cannot choose the Account segment here. Use the Account tab to specify a range of account numbers.

Specify the first account segment code in the range for which you want to allow or deny access.

Specify the last account segment code in the range for which you want to allow or deny access.

Account tab

The Account tab lets you allow or deny user access to ranges of account numbers -- for example, to allow access to a accounts receivable and sales accounts.

Double-click or use the spacebar to change this field from No to Yes.
