Installing LANSA on IBM i

Open System Utilities Installation Library

You may install the Open System Utilities at the same time as the LANSA for i install or at any time afterwards. For more information about these utilities refer to What are the Open System Utilities?

When you install the Open System Utilities you must enter the Library into which they are to be installed, or accept the default that is displayed.

 

Open System Utilities Library

The name of the library where the Open System Utilities are to be installed. If this library does not exist, it will be created. If this library does exist, any existing objects in the library with the same name as the new objects will be replaced during the installation.

Note: If the Open System Utilities are installed by themselves, then the owner will be the current shipped owner (QOTHPRDOWN) and if this profile is not found on the system, the IBM default owner (QDFTOWN) will be the owner.

If the Open System Utilities are installed with LANSA, then the owner will be the LANSA Product Owner.
