Remarks
An application can call the HasBigIntIdentityColumn property to determine whether a table contains a bigint identity column. This can be useful when preparing to replicate to a heterogeneous subscriber, because not all heterogeneous databases support the bigint data type.
Note If an application calls HasBigIntIdentityColumn on an instance of Microsoft® SQL Server™ version 7.0, FALSE is returned.
