Client applications that interact with instances of Notification Services require the Notification Services client components. The most common remote applications are the following:

Subscription management interfaces.
-
Non-hosted event providers.
-
Remote administration consoles.

The Notification Services client components are included when you install Notification Services, the SQL Server engine components, or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. |
To install rules components
-
On the Start page, click Run the SQL Server Installation Wizard.

Follow the Setup instructions until you see the Components to Install page.

On the Components to Install page, click the Advanced button.

On the Feature Selection page, expand Notification Services.
-
Under Notification Services, click Client Components and select Will be installed on local hard drive.
Optionally, you can select other SQL Server components.

Follow the instructions on the remaining Setup pages.
-
On the Ready to Install page, click Install.
