Saving SQL Statements to a File

This procedure describes how to save the contents of the Editor pane to a file.

To save the contents of the Editor pane to a file

1. Make the Editor pane the active pane.
   
   
2. Click Save on the toolbar.
   
   
3. If the file has never been saved, the Save Query dialog box is displayed. Specify a location, file name, file extension, and file format.

You can also save result sets to a file by making the Results pane the active pane before saving, or by selecting Results to File from the Query menu before executing the query.
