3D Compatibility Mode

3D Compatibility Mode is an NVIDIA proprietary rendering mode for 3D Vision that improves the 3D experience for many key DirectX 10 and 11 games.

Requirements and Compatibility

  • Games must be run in DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 mode.

  • Not compatible with 3D Vision Surround.

Using 3D Compatibility Mode

3D Compatibility Mode is available for select games, but NVIDIA continues to add game support with new driver versions. Where supported, 3D Compatibility Mode is enabled by default, but you can manually enable and disable it. See How to enable or disable 3D compatibility mode for instructions.

If 3D Compatibility Mode is disabled or not supported, then the driver uses standard 3D Vision mode with the game.
