5.2.1 What can I use the FTPService for?
FTP is commonly used to transfer or copy files from one computer to another on TCP/IP networks such as the internet. This includes the movement of files between machines with widely different operating systems. Any transfer of information between computers is subject to appropriate security on both the sending and recieving computers.
