General: Stsadm properties (Office SharePoint Server)

The general properties are part of the setproperty and getproperty operations. The syntax for the setproperty operation is:

stsadm -o setproperty

   -propertyname <property name>

   -propertyvalue <property value>

   [-url] <http://server_name>

The syntax for the getproperty operation is:

stsadm -o getproperty

   -propertyname <property name>

   [-url] <http://server_name>

Note:
You can substitute -pn for -propertyname and -pv for -propertyvalue.

Database-command-timeout: Stsadm property (Office SharePoint Server)	Retrieves or sets the wait time before terminating the attempt to execute a command and generating an error.
Database-connection-timeout: Stsadm property (Office SharePoint Server)	Retrieves an open connection or sets a connection to a Microsoft SQL Server database
