Lighting Tab

Note  The Lighting tab is only supported by NI 17xx smart cameras.

The Lighting tab allows you to control the lighting settings for the smart camera. Some features may not be supported for your lighting device. Refer to your device documentation information about the lighting features supported by your device. Refer to Measurement & Automation Explorer Help for NI-IMAQ for information on how to change the parameters of the lighthead on a NI 17xx smart camera. Refer to NI 17xx Smart Camera User Manual for more information on the NI 17xx smart camera.

The following controls are available on the Lighting tab:

• Enable Direct Drive enables the Direct Drive lighting.

  Note  Not all smart cameras support Direct Drive.

• Mode specifies the lighting mode options. This control can be set to Continuous or Strobed.
• Desired Current Level (mA) specifies the desired current level in milliamps.
• Actual Current Level (mA) displays the actual current level in milliamps.
• 5V TTL Strobe and 24V Strobe display the options for strobe signal generation.
• Polarity specifies the polarity for the selected strobe signal generation.
