Software Installation
Use MAX to install NI Vision and any other necessary LabVIEW Real-Time Module components from your host machine onto your RT target system. Refer to the Measurement & Automation Explorer Remote Systems Help for specific information (within MAX, select to Help»Help Topics»Remote Systems).
When your RT target is set up, you can write and execute NI Vision code just as you would on a Windows-based system.
Installing Fonts to RT Targets
NI Vision allows you to specify the font to use when overlaying text on an image. The NI Vision font is installed by default on all RT Targets. Unless you specify another font, the NI Vision font is used.

Note Most fonts are covered by copyrights. Before you install a font on an RT target, make sure that you have permission to distribute the font. |
Complete the following general steps to install a font to an RT target.
- Connect to the RT Target using FTP.
- Copy the font file you want to use to the <root>\Vision directory on the RT Target. NI Vision supports the following font formats: TTF, FON, FNT, CFF, and OTF.
- Restart the RT target.
