Additional Information on the DIF File
Use this dialog box to specify the settings for importing DIF data.
 | Note To import DIF data, you must register the GPI-DLL GFSDIF.DLL first. For more information about GPI-DLLs, refer to Registering GPI Extensions. |
| Note You can transfer the comments of a DIF file directly into the data set properties and the channel properties. If a DIF file contains the optional set types LABEL, COMMENT and DISPLAYUNITS, DIAdem moves these set types into the channel name, the channel comment and the channel unit. |
Settings

Total number of channels |
Shows the number of channels in the DIF file. |

Maximum number of values per channel |
Shows the maximum number of values in a channel. |

General comment |
Specifies the line containing the general comments about the data set. |

Name |
Specifies the line containing the name of the data set. |

Author |
Specifies the line containing the author of the data set. |
|
Channel name |
Specifies the line containing the channel name. |
|
Channel comment |
Specifies the line containing the channel comment. |
|
Units |
Specifies the line containing the units. |
|
Column with date and/or time |
Specifies the column containing the time values. |
|
Format for time/date |
Specifies the time format used. |
| Note DIAdem only imports the numeric data in the file. |
