Add text to an AutoShape or text box
You can add text to most AutoShapes, except lines, connectors, and freeforms.
- Click any AutoShape
— except a line, connector, or freeform — and then type the text.
Note The text is attached to the AutoShape and is treated as part of the shape. If you don't want to attach the text to the shape, use the Text Box tool 
on the Drawing toolbar.
