Why Use Static Pages?
Static Web Pages

 Efficient

A static page application reduces the load on the server (for example the iSeries) because the pages do not have to be created on request.

 Fast

Static page web applications are faster than applications that dynamically create web pages on request.

 Economical

Static pages can be created when resources are free, for example at night, which makes resource use more efficient.

 Standalone

An application built from static pages can reside on a separate web server than the core applications. The pages can be updated regularly on the production machine and copied over to the server.

A static page architecture would be a good alternative for applications presenting, for instance:
  • Time table information
  • Product catalogs
  • Scheduled events
  • Human resources information
