Report Wizard

The Report Wizard

The Administrator can use the Report Wizard to generate virtually any customizable report.

The features of these reports are that they
  • allows definition of content and presentation
  • permits sharing of the reports with other users
  • enables periodic Emailing of the reports to nominated users.

The steps in creating a report from the Report Wizard.

  1. Go to Administration>Reports>Report Wizard

  2. Click on the Add button at the bottom left

Type a description for your report in the Report Name Box
For the auto-emailing client select a frequency for the reports
Insert the email ID in the next box and separate recipients with a semicolon.

  3. You can make a Financial Report, a Practice Summary, or a combination of both.

The steps involved in the creation of a financial report.

Define a Report by checking on the options in the tree

    1. On the tree define what constitutes a bill i.e. do you want to see only new bills, (New Bills), account for Medicare rejections and re-submissions, adjust for management fees etc.

    2. On the tree define what constitutes a payment in your report. Ideally you will want to see all payments for a given date range. However in certain instances you may want to see payments only for the given bills.

    3. Under Reporting Sections select the sections you want to see in your report. Clicking on any section will bring up a brief explanation on the right hand side

    4. Give the report a name. Report names have to be unique

    5. Set up an email schedule. You may want to see the Bill Summary every week, or the complete financial summary at the end of every month. Set this up and you will receive the reports in your inbox on the designated days. Note: for this to work the Administrator has to set up Auto-Reporting Schedule along with emailing details in Administration ->Settings ->Preferences -> System Preferences

    6. If you want to share it with non-admin users of the system, check on Share All. Note: Users with admin rights will be able to see/edit your report even if you have decided to not share with anyone

    7. Click on Save.
Your reports will then be seen listed in My Reports under the Report Wizard Icon.

You can then activate this report by clicking on the report icon that you have saved.

Repeat these same steps for creating a Practice Summary Report (options available in the other tab on the tree).
A combination of both types of reports can be included in a single file.
