Origin
By setting the origin, you can set the (0,0) coordinate point on the drawing. Click the … button on the ‘Origin coordinates’ field. On the drawing that appears mark the (0,0) origin using the cross hair cursor and click Update and close. Alternative you can enter the X and Y coordinates at the corresponding fields. Check the ‘Origin axes visible’ box if you want the origin to be visible on the drawing.
Set the
corresponding origin on the rest of the drawings, where you wish to copy the
measurements, in order for them to be copied in the exact same location as in
their original drawing. In case, for example, that the creator of the drawing
changes the origin, then, if it is not reset, it is possible for copied
measurements to be pasted to an entirely wrong place!
