Bulk Rename Utility

Saving your Settings

When you quit the application, your current settings (menu choices etc.) will be stored in a .INI file in the same folder as the executable program. Whilst this goes against Microsoft's philosophy, INI files are actually much better than the registry! You can take your folder with you and use it on any system, knowing that it's already configured for you! As Bulk Rename Utility doesn't require an Installer this makes it quite useful as a utility on a "memory stick" or a "Tools CD"

If you need two sets of preferences with different values then create two copies of the executable with different names, and you'll get two INI files.
