Ce programme a été créé par Antoine Potten à l'aide de Borland Delphi 7 sous Windows 8.1.

Il a été conçu pour fonctionner sous Windows NT4 SP4, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8 et 8.1. Il devrait fonctionner sous Windows 98 et ME aussi (mis à part le support de l'unicode).

Au début, j'ai fait ce programme parce que les seuls renommeurs de fichiers que j'avais trouvés à l'époque étaient payants (shareware).
